Putin declares commencement of a 'special military operation' in Ukraine

Following President Vladimir Putin's statement declaring the commencenent of a 'special military operation' in Ukraine, the full-scale invasion began by land, air and sea. Rocket attacks were recorded across Ukraine and thousands of Russian soldiers and military vehicles entered Ukraine from multiple directions. Russian troops crossed the Dnipro river and military vehicles were spotted around the Kyiv region. Russia captures areas in East Ukraine with military units reaching within miles of Kyiv.
